Shoulder injuries

EnglishSpanish
When localized at the level of the shoulder, pain can have different etiologies, which are often difficult to identify because of the wide range of motion of this joint. Apart from the scapulohumeral joint, there is a second joint between the head of humerus -covered by the tendinous cuff made up of the short rotators (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis)-, and the osseous acromioclavicular plane. Gliding is secured by means of the subacromiodeltoid bursa, the most voluminous one in the body, which acts as a joint cavity.
